Editing Practice

Recently, I learned more advanced edits in Adobe Premiere. I edited clips from two short films, and changed the color, added audio, and placed transitions in between clips. At first, it was really challenging, as I had never done most of those things on Premiere before, and it took a little getting used to. At one point, I had to start the project all over again because of a mistake I made. Eventually, I did manage to get the hang of it. I do think that the videos I made were successful in relation to the original clips provided, even if the film overall is much shorter.

For this film, I added some music and a few transitions. I did try changing the colors a bit, but due to the darkness in the scene, it did not turn out well. I personally feel that the edit was successful in portraying the car crash, and I placed the clips slightly out of order in order to make it flow better.

For this film, I not only added transitions and music but changed the color, as I felt that certain scenes were too bright. I feel that this short film was not as interesting, as nothing really happened. Personally, I was not a fan of the source material, though I feel like I did a better job with this film, as I had already gotten the hang of some of the editing techniques.
