60 Second Film - Blogpost

Image
Initially, I wrote the script for my 60-second film to be about someone getting ready for school in 60 seconds. I changed my mind after I decided th a t it wouldn't make for an interesting film, and made the decision to make a film about making and eating breakfast within a minute of waking up.      The film took longer than I thought it would to make, as there was construction going on in my house. Filming was hard initially because I didn't know what to film, but once I had an idea of what to do, filming became much easier. It actually took much longer than I expected to film, especially given that I had unused footage, which I decided not to use because the film was already longer than 60 minutes. I am satisfied with the film, though I wish I could redo this project at a time when construction is not happening in my house.

3 Point Lighting

Shots:  1.  This shot is from the film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me , directed by David Lynch. This shot views the protagonist of the film from over the shoulder of another character, with the light focusing on her as well.  2.  This shot is from The Wishing Tree , directed by Tengiz Abuladze. In this shot, the light from the candles creates a background inside the dark church while the character Pupala stands in the entranceway, framed by the two walls and illuminated by the sunlight from outside, while a singular candle illuminates her face. 3. This shot is from The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring , directed by Peter Jackson. In this shot, the light focuses on the protagonists, as the orcs are in the darkness.
